  LOUISE BELL – The school’s principal has been dancing her entire life and has had excellent training herself from a very early age in all forms of dance covering tap, Jazz Ballet and Neo-classical. Louise is also a very accomplished singer, having had vocal training at the Melba Conservatorium and with Katherine Sadler. Louise trained from the age of two with the famous May Downs School of Dance here in Melbourne and has made dancing and singing her career and has appeared in so many major musical theatre productions throughout Australia. Louise last appeared in the “Cameron McIntosh/Disney Melbourne production of Mary Poppins” at the fabulous Her Majesty’s Theatre. Louise was a member of the ensemble and had the cameo role as ‘Fanny’ one of the sisters in the Lolly Shop. She also understudied Sally-Ann Upton for the role of ‘Mrs Brill’ and Judi Conelli for the role of ‘Miss Andrew’. During 2006 Louise toured with the very successful musical “Eurobeat” playing the role of Gert Grollmersdetter representing Iceland. For the Production Company, Louise has appeared in Oklahoma, Sunset Boulevard, Kiss Me Kate, Annie Get Your Gun, Carousel, Bye Bye birdie, Music Man, Anything Goes, Mack and Mabel, Guys and Dolls, Gypsy and Sweet Charity. Louise also appeared in The Wizard of OZ (Mack Entertainment), The Boy From OZ (Ben Gannon), A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum (Simon Gallaher), The Merry Widow (Opera Australia), My Fair Lady and Iolanthe (Victorian State Opera), and Sesame Street Live (Michael Edgley). As well as performing professionally, Louise is also a ‘freelance teacher’ and has held classes at many of the important Theatrical Dance Schools. As well, she is an accomplished Choreographer and has worked in this area for corporate entertaining as well as the Australian Girls Choir. Louise is also a very regular and popular adjudicator at eisteddfods around Australia. And, in between all this performing, teaching and adjudicating, Louise runs Dolly’s School of Dance in Banyule Councils Melbourne suburb of Heidelberg West.
